BEST AND WORST OF 2005

Before the year ends, I’m going to list these things first. Next entry na yung New Year’s Resolution. I’m sure may nakalimutan ako. So eto na yung partial list.

THE BEST (Halo-halo na’to!)
*not in particular order

Mapua Short Film Festival: A time to showcase my talent in filmmaking. Kung meron man. Hopefully nag 2nd Best Short Film ang film namin.LOTR Extended Edition DVDs: Actually December 29, 2004 ko ‘to nabili pero syempre napagsawaan ko siya in the first quarter of 2005. Hanggang ngayun di ko pa nasisimut lahat ng commentaries of all 3 movies!

Blogging: This year, ginanahan talaga ako magblog kesa sa previous year. Almost everyday nung bandang summer. Si Ava kasi e. Naka almost 120 entries ako this year.

Da Vinci Code: I’m not really a novel reader pero masaya ako dahil nabasa ko na din sya sa wakas at nalaman ko kung bakit ba’to controversial. I started reading Angels and Demons pero kinuha agad ng may-ari yung book kaya di ko pa natatapos.

Summer Vacation: After 10 years, nakauwi uli ako sa Bicol. Ang saya saya. Read more »

RANDOM BLAH BLAHs

Hindi ko lang talaga ma-organize ang mga thoughts ko ngayun kaya ganito na lang uli:  

Kanina napa-usapan namin yung mga anime. Ewan ko ba kung bakit sa lahat ng mga teenagers ako lang yata ang walang hilig dun. Lalo yung mga anime ngayun. DragonBall at Ghost Fighter lang yata napanood ko e…tsaka yung mga Mojacko at Doraemon lang (anime ba ‘to?). Kasi panahon natin yung mga Sarah, Cedie, Julio at Julia, Tom Sawyer,Peter Pan, Mask Rider Black, Bioman, Voltes V, Takeshi Castle, Flying House tsaka yung cartoons na tungkol sa takore na may time machine. Eh ngayun, puro PC Games na uso. Pero di ko talaga trip yung mga anime ngayun like Naruto. I’m not even trying to watch it. Parang pare-parehas lang naman kasi. Tsaka parang feeling ko, napaka-immature ko naman kung tangkilikin ko pa yan. Parang pambata. Bumibili pa ng badge at nangongolekta ng mga CD ng anime. Well, kanya-kanyang trip lang yan kaya wala na akong pakialam sa iba. Kung masaya sila sa anime, ok lang, Wala naman akong magagawa e. Mabaliw na sila sa lahat wag lang sa Pinoy Big Brother (uy, first time ko yata binaggit ang show na ‘to sa blog ko a.)

OF SHAMPOO AND DETERGENT SOAP ADS

These ads dominate the local televesion, isn’t it? Those shampoo commercials are all the same. When you use that shampoo, para ka na ring nagpa-salon, nagpa-rebond, nagpa-hot-oil at iba pa. Pare-parehas lang ang messages nila! And they make new TV ads just to let us know that they’ve added this new ingredient that’s guaranteed to make your hair smoother, silkier, dandruff-free blah blah blah..Ngayon lang ba nila na-discover ang “new ingredient” na yan…Bakit hindi nila ginamit yan dati? Inunti-unti lang nila…Nakakasira lang ng ulo yang mga commercial na yan… Read more »

“BRINI MAXWELL”

Kilala nyo ba si Brini Maxwell? Meron siyang show sa Lifestyle Network…yung Brini Maxwell Show. At sa maniwala kayo o hindi, si Brini Maxwell ay isang lalake! His real name is Ben Sanders at he’s a female impersonator. In fairness, maganda kamay at legs niya…

ENGKANTADIA

I’m very excited for this new telefantasia…E pano ba naman kasi, this is an obvious local version of Lord of the Rings…bakit naman hindi ako matutuwa?

Mataas ang expectation ko sa show na ‘to upon seeing the teaser trailers. Astig ang production nito. Parang movie. The sets are amazing and the costumes are fantastic. The props are very detailed. The cinematgrphy is stunning. Ibang-iba sa Mulawin and Darna. Kung ang Mulawin/Darna ay 3, ang Enkantadia?ay 10.

There are many LOTR references here. The Kingdoms are synonymous sa mga kingdoms sa Middle Earth. Therea are four in Engkantadia. 3 Kingdoms against one. Parang Gondor, Rohan and Eriador against Mordor. Hehe…Saya..at sa halip na rings…precious gems naman dito. Tapos nakita ko yung costume ni Iza Calsado parang Gondorian costume. May wings pa….Saya-saya.

Sana ipalabas na to at hindi ako ma-disappoint….

PROMOTING PREMARITAL SEX

If you’re always watching MTV, you might have notice the ad sponsored by staying-alive.org?where they are promoting the use of condoms or safe sex among teenagers. What the f***?

Ibig sabihin pala okay lang makipag-sex as long as you do it safely? Basta ba may condom? E di parang nag-promote din sila ng premarital sex! It is clear in the ad that the teenagers are the target of this campaign. I think this is also a campaign for AIDS awareness. Sana sinabi na lang nila wag tayo ma-engange sa premarital sex para di tayo magka-AIDS. Pero iba na talaga ikot ng mundo…kasing normal na lang ng paghinga ang premarital sex sa kabataan…Sana ang target na lang ng campaign na ‘to ay yung mga rapists. At least, mapre-prevent yung unwanted pregnancy ng mga victims. Heheh…parang sinabi na rin na okay lang mang-rape basta may condom…hehehhe
