Local Horror Genre
If I were to become a filmmaker, I’ll start with a horror film. When I say ‘horror’, I mean movies in the likes of ‘Final Destination‘, ‘Saw‘ and ‘Hostel‘ and not local horror films like ‘Bahay ni Lola’ etc where the main attractions are ghosts, monsters and white ladies copied from Japanese horror movies.
If given a chance, I’ll start with a zombie film filled with litters of blood and human intestines. (Yeah, I like gory movies more than those ‘ghost’ flicks.)
Remember, LOTR director Peter Jackson started his film career in this genre. And now I wanted to revolutionize our local horror movies into something controversial that any Filipino would like to see out of curiosity.
I’d like to cast Judy Ann, Jolina, or even Sugar from Eat Bulaga and other celebrities that most people will pay to see those actors’ head to be crushed by a truck, rip their arms off thru a chainsaw, expose their internal organs or be eaten alive by zombies. (I’d like to see Ethel Booba’s boobs to burst into flames too…)
Now, that’s cool to watch…especially on the big screen….

For some people it might not be so horrific. They might get jubilant.
Pag sating sa horror, I usually go for those with nice stories. I am a bit skeptical with ghosts. And enjor din ako sa mga movies na may mutilation.

hmm. I watched the shutter and i think it’s a great movie. hehe nice story plus nice effects plus nice characters = blockbuster movie.. hehehe

That would indeed be really cool and not to mention very funny too!
Problema nga lang.. I don’t think maraming artista na papayag na gawin sa kanila yung ganun. Imagine, may movie na makikita mo ang sarili mong brutally killed. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pumapayag yung mga Final Destination actors sa ganun kasi hindi ko talaga yun kaya.

Nakakadiri yung Hostel. Sobra. Di ko kinaya ‘yung gore dun. Ang maganda lang du’n yung simula. Lam mo na.
Good luck. Sana di ma-ban ng MTRCB. Nakakasawa na ‘yung mga local horror movies eh. Gaya gaya or pare-pareho ‘yung plot. Walang gore masyado (pwera na lang yung ibang shake rattle and roll episodes).

Little Wolf: Yun nga e. Wala yatang papayag. Kailangan malaki talent fee. Tsaka yung mga Final Destination actors, mga starlets lang naman yun di ba? Si Paris Hilton lang sa House of Wax ang medyo big star e.
Skwayred: I’m sure R-18 lang yan. Pero I’m sure boboycotin yan ng mga fans ng artista na kasama sa movie…
