Cute pala ako…dati…

Posted in About Me on June 27th, 2006

So, nagtaka ako. Bakit ngayon hindi na? Haha… Read more »

New LOTR DVD’s coming up (again?)

Posted in Movies on June 23rd, 2006

What???

Panu yun? Baka pumangit quality?

At ano yung seamless branching?

Home Video Reviews (June)

Posted in Movies on June 21st, 2006

Here are the short reviews of movies that I saw some weeks ago in home video.

Saw IIBrokeback MountainWallace and Gromit

Saw II
I like the first one so I rented this but I have to say that the first Saw is still better. The only reason I’m into this is the gore and the twist at the end of the movie plus a chance to see Jigsaw longer than the first one. 6/10.

FlightPlan
This is a thriller that spends half of the movie looking for a child. And when I found out where Jodie Foster’s daughter is, I’m not surprised nor intrigued. Typical conspiracy ek ek. BTW, Sean Bean (Boromir in LOTR) is here too! For me, Red Eye is still the best ‘airplane’ thriller with strong performances from Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams. 6/10.

Manila is now Hi-Res in Google Earth!

Posted in Technology on June 16th, 2006

Google has finally updated their database and put Metro Manila in high resolution! Haaay!

I can finally see our house. Yehey!

I think the whole Metro Manila is covered plus parts of Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan ang Rizal. Angeles, Cebu, Legazpi, Davao etc etc…

“Life begins at 20″

Posted in About Me on June 10th, 2006

Today (June 10), I turned 20. Yehey!!
It’s hard to forget this day because many things have happened today. I sort of ‘experience’ different sides of life.

First, birthday ko ngayon. A decade has passed. New life begins. Second, I saw a wedding. Well actually, galing ako school at dadaan lang dapat ako sa simbahan for a short prayer. But then, there was a wedding going on, so hindi na ako pumasok. I rather pray sa mas tahimik na lugar. And if you come to think of it, a wedding means new life too. Lastly. Death, as many people believe, leads to a new life. June 9 namatay ang lolo ko…heart attack. Our pet dog died on the day of my birthday. Hmmm… interesting isn’t it? …unforgettable.

When I get 30, I’ll just reminisce this day as the day I started my 20’s. :)

“X-Men: The Last Stand” Movie Review

Posted in Movies on June 5th, 2006

I’ve just received the last half of my allowance from my practicum in Accenture and I’m very delightful that it’s P1000 higher than the last. Hehe. So, Lani and I watched X-Men!!!

I had this dream yesterday that I watched X3 in a theater and after just 1 minute, the movie ends without a single hint of any mutants whatsoever. I was very devastated. Siguro I just worry so much and I thought this last X-Men movie will disappoint.
But thank god and it didn’t. It’s highly entartaining. This is the movie that defines what a summer blockbuster season should be. It’s really worth the admission ticket not like *frowns* the “Da Vinci Code”. Read more »
