“Angels & Demons” to be filmed

After the success of “The Da Vinci Code”, Sony is now planning to adapt another Dan Brown novel “Angels and Demons”. However, the studio has plans on reuniting the production team! And worst, Akiva Goldsman will be returning for the movie’s screenplay!! Noohhh!!
Nagbabasa ba ng reviews itong si Mr. Goldsman? Alam ba nyang screenplay nya ang nagpapangit sa movie version ng Da Vinci Code?
I hope Ron Howard isn’t directing this movie. Angels and Demons is a great book na hindi dapat masayang sa isang walang kwentang adaptation. And besides, A&D is more Hollywood-friendly than DVC. I’m just worried on how are they going to portray the last few chapters of the book or the “climax”. I’m sure it will turn out to be very silly if it isn’t handled well enough. (The crowd at the Vatican, the explosion etc…)
My dream cast would include:
Robert Langdon
- Tom Hanks (although miscasted…sya pa rin…for continuity only)
Vittoria Vetra
- Kate Beckinsale (the way she looks in “Underworld” movies )
- Bridget Moynahan (the scientist sidekick of Will Smith in I,Robot)
(mas better kung isang unknown Italian actress)
Maximilian Kohler
- Patrick Stewart (Professor X..naka-wheelchair din…pero sana ang boses parang si “Architect” from Matrix Reloaded)
Carmerlengo
- Gael Garcia Bernal (some people likes Jude Law for this role, but I prefer Bernal after playing a priest in El Crimen Del Padre Amaro)
Hassassin
- the Arab guy from LOST (don’t know his name)
Gunther Glick
- Simon Pegg (yung bida sa Shaun of the Dead)
Please lang…sana ayusin nila ang pagkaka-adapt…

Yesss! Pero please, gandahan naman nila. At wag nang ibigay kay Ron Howard for Christ’s sake (no pun intended).
Ayos si Kate Beckinsale for Vittoria maganda din ‘yung Bridget Moynahan, kaso di natin alam kung sino ang ilalagay nila totoong cast. I-suggest mo kaya? Hehehe. :p
Siguro naman hindi na ito iba-ban. Though may controversies pa din, medyo pro-God ito. Baka du’n sa mga di nakabasa ng book, maging deja vu-ish ‘yung film… parang nangyari na ‘yon ah? Haha, di ba kasi parang pareho lang.

This is one book I haven’t read yet. I guess it’s about time I read it too.
Marami nga nagsasabi na mas maganda gawan ng movie ito. Sana nga lang iba na talaga gumawa ng screenplay. I don’t want this to be another DVC kahit hindi ko pa nababasa…
Tom Hanks again? hm.. there’s just something about him which I don’t like.
by the way, yung guy sa LOST na sinasabi mo is Sayid. hehe…

Skwayred: Ang alam ko hindi daw sya prequel kasi…gagawin daw sequel yung film. Hindi kasi ni-reference yung A&D sa DVC movie e.
Little Wolf; Basahin mo sya…Make sure na tapusin mo…though I found the first half to be boring. The last part is super exciting!
