RED EYE: A terrific thriller
Wow. I’ve never been in a theater with the audience (almost all of them) that laughs, cheers and gasps during the movie’s climactic sequence. Kulang na lang ay magpalakpakan na kaming lahat…
There only few movies that really let you experience this. This is just one. American moviegoers were really hyperactive during a movie. They laugh loud even at the corniest moment. But experiencing with Filipino audiences is fun.
(Ayan tuloy),I remember watching Return of the King for the first time and I almost stand up in excitement (as in napa-WHoohooo! ako) when the Army of the Dead arrives at the Pelennor. Na-OA-han ako tuloy sa sarili ko…
The performances are all great. Rachel McAdams is phenomenal! She did great in playing a slutty role in Mean Girls and a dramatic actress in The Notebook. Now, she’s doing a thriller! And god, she’s hot! She looks better here than her previous movies. Nung una, wala pa akong pakialam sa kanya masyado until I saw The Notebook. Ang galing pala niya. Hindi pala siya totoong slutty. Hehe. And then I saw her recent interviews…nakakabilib talaga sya.

The movie has very minor plot holes (just like every other movie) but for the sake of enjoyment, don’t watch it just to nitpick. Do that when it comes out on DVD, okay? But for now, enjoy it. It’s a decent trailer. Watch it in a packed theater and cheer for McAdams. Feminists must be very proud of this film, I must say.
This is a perfect reward after the hellish week that I’ve been through. After those sleepless nights…haaayy….sa wakas pahinga na. Finals na lang kulang.
