LOCAL MOVIES…

Posted in Movies on September 30th, 2005
I hate local movies. Not in the sense that I hate ALL of them but rather most of them. It doesn’t look cool enough. Siguro kulang sa hype. Imagine, studios promoting their films 2 weeks before the release?

HOLY MASS MATTERS

Posted in Complaints on September 25th, 2005
Kanina, nagsimba ako. Syempre, pasasalamat sa 3.0 ko sa Java. Minsan na nga lang magsimba (napakasama ko…considering that I graduated from a…whatever), natatapat pa ako sa mga paring matagal magmisa. I can’t help but to daydream instead. Mahigit one hour nakatayo.

IT’S OVER NOW

Makakahinga na ako ng maluwag. The quarterm has ended. My grades are in and I (miraculously) passed all of them…though I’m not sure if I really deserved it. I don’t know. I always got the feeling that I’ll always pass my subjects. It’s like God is always making sure that I’ll finish the course without a 5.0 in any of my class cards. Plus, I experience recurring dreams. I always dream of a superhighway, a street or anything related to roads and vehicles. According to DreamMoods, it means that it represents your sense of direction and your life’s path (and also the pursuit of your goals.)

CAMPAIGN FOR REAL BEAUTY?

Posted in Complaints on September 22nd, 2005
Dove (yes, the soap) is having their so-called “campaign for real beauty”. They put up several billboards along EDSA and SLEX and encouraging the people to waste their money to support their campaign. All we have to do is to vote if the particular woman is: flat or flattering / extra-large or extra-sexy / aging or ageless.

The woman in ‘aging or ageless’ billboard is actually aging (in my opinion) and I already know that the “ageless” votes will win no matter what. I know they are going to manipulate those numbers just to ‘prove’ that the woman is “ageless.” So if you have a plan to support this stupid campaign, don’t. It’s just a same old advertisng stuff.

RED EYE: A terrific thriller

Posted in Movies on September 17th, 2005
In case you’ve been wondering (like me) why it is called “Red Eye” : Red eye flights are those flights operated by airlines from about 01:00 AM to about 04:00AM every night.-Wikipedia

Wow. I’ve never been in a theater with the audience (almost all of them) that laughs, cheers and gasps during the movie’s climactic sequence.

There only few movies that really let you experience this. This is just one. American moviegoers were really hyperactive during a movie. They laugh loud even at the corniest moment. But experiencing with Filipino audiences is fun.
