NARNIA –> REMINDS ME OF MIDDLE-EARTH
Unlike LOTR, I’ve heard of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe before. Bata pa ako nun, alam ko ginagawa na siyang musical play. Inisip ko dati, ano tong play na’to? About a lion, a witch and a stupid wardrobe? Duh? It doesn’t make any sense. Pero nung nakita ko ung trailer. WoW! Ganito pala ang kwento nun! Gusto kong basahin yung libro before watching it!
Eh bakit naman ako biglang nagka-interes dito? 5 Reasons:
1. CS Lewis is a close friend of J.R.R Tolkien (they were in a group called The Inklings)
2. WETA Digital and WETA Workshop (the company behind the special effects and props of LOTR) is also behind this production.
3. It is being filmed in New Zealand! The home of Middle-Earth!
4. It’s a 7-part series. That means, every year, may aabangan nanaman akong film.
5. The trailer is awesome. It reminds me of the Baudelaire children, Hogwarts and Middle Earth! Interesting huh?
These are the few things that I noticed when I saw the trailer. Parang dun uli sila nag shoot sa pinagshootingan ng LOTR…hehe…
Pero buti na lang, hindi nila ginaya ang look ng LOTR. But there are also huge battles, orcs, eagles etc…
BTW, Andrew Adamson is the director of this. He’s the man behind the Shrek movies.
