I MIGHT END UP WITH THE “PIRATED EDITION”

DVDAnswers.com has loads of pictures of the upcoming release of Return of the King Special Extended DVD Edition on December 14.

Not only that, I also have my first glimpse of the Box Set which I am planning to buy soon (also available on December 14) so that I can get all three of them at once. A perfect Christmas gift…
Somebody told me that the price would range from P4,500 to P5,000. But according to DVDAnswers.com, the BoxSet is worth $119.97. Multiply it with P55 and you will get P6,598.35.
Whew…Almost P7,000. My world sinked when I saw that amount displayed on my calculator. How can I get that amount of money? I told myself to save money starting August and until now, I haven’t reach P1000 mark. I’m really trying to save…but with that amount of money? Do u think I can afford that piece of junk?

And why should I buy it immediately?? Because I’m dying to see these LOTR versions! If I am not able to buy the original video, I might end up buying the pirated ones. Well, I still have another chance next year.
I know they would release this so-called “SUPER EDITION” The one they say that will include scenes that didn’t even make it to the Extended Edition. Maybe this one is REALLY worth buying….

HOW LOTR SAVED THE DAY

I used the armies as the data packets….
The browser sends a request to the web server to access a music file.
[Pippin lights the beacons of Minas Tirith and Rohan gets the fire signals]
The web server receives the request and sends a metafile (a text file containing the real address of the music file…)
[Theoden responds to the Gondor’s request; Gandalf (metafile) is seen departing from Edoras to Minas Tirith with Pippin]

The Web server prepares the data packets and sends it to the media player.
[Theoden prepares the Rohirrim and leaves Edoras for Minas Tirith]
The first batch of packets arrive in the buffer (temporary location in the hard drive)
[The first batch of orc arrive at Pelennor Fields (buffer)]
The second batch of packets arrive.
[The Rohirrim arrives]
Media player starts to play the music file (Voltes V opening theme) while more packets are coming to fill the buffer to provide continuous music.
[Faramir and co. is shown entering the gates of Minas Tirith after Gandalf rescues them from the Nazguls]
While the Voltes V opening theme is playing, the third batch of packets arrive.
[Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli together with the Dead Army arrive at Minas Tirith]


Akala ko tapos na yun. Hindi pa pala. After the report, kilala na ako ng mga classmates ko as “Lord of ‘The Lord of the Rings” sa Mapua(?). Syempre, masaya. At least, nagagamit ko ang LOTR sa buhay.
At eto ang surprise. The next meeting ng DATA COM, may quiz dapat kami. Hindi pa kami gaano nag- aaral dahil late na na-upload ang files ni Ma’am sa Yahoo Groups so nagmakaawa kami para i-cancel ang quiz.
So, kinancel niya and then she said na natutuwa daw siya at na-handle niya ang class namin dahil na-realize daw niya na may mga estudyante pa palang masisipag. Edi sigawan kami tsaka palakpakan. Akala namin farewell speech na ito ni maam dahil matatapos na ang term. Yun pala….
She said “Dahil don, exempted na kayo lahat sa Quiz 5!” Edi palakpakan nanaman kami dahil sure na 100% kami sa quiz na ‘to.
“Pasalamat kayo kay Alvin” sabi ni Ma’am.
“Wow! Dahil ba sa akin yun?” I told myself.
Tuwang-tuwa sa akin mga classmates ko. Biruin mo, I don’t only saved my quiz, I saved all of my classmates’ quizzes!
So (60% of final grade is quiz)
QUIZ 1 to 3 = basta bagsak
QUIZ 4 = pasang awa
Quiz 5 = 100%
Quiz 6 (report) = 100%
papasa na ako nito….
