SCHOOL OF ROCK

I found myself smiling all the time the first time I watched this. Jack Black is very funny. I don’t care about him before this movie and now gusto ko na siya after his great performance here. And now, he is cast in Peter Jackson’s remake of King Kong.

I was riding a jeepney yesterday when I heard this new song from Love Radio. It’s another novelty song and I think is too much. Um-over na sa kabastusan.
Napansin ko yung lyrics kasi ma-traffic at yun lang ang maririnig mo talaga.
The song has lyrics that was like: “Gusto ko an nota, ang nota, nota mo…gusto ko ang nota ng mga kanta mo…Gusto ko ang titik, ang titik, titik mo…gusto ko ang titik ng mga kanta mo…” and then sa hulin part ng song puro “titik” na lang ang sinasabi na sa sobrang hina ng isang katinig sa salitang ito…iba na ang naririnig mo…Tsk…tsk…
Grabe…bastos na bastos ang dating.
Come on! Wag na tayong magpakatanga na sabihing walang malisya ang kanta at bastos lang ang nakakita ng malisya sa kantang yan.

Sa panahong ngayon, alam na natin ang bastos at hindi. Tanga lang hindi at mga wala talagang alam sa mundo. Kahit mga bata ngayon, as young as the age of 3, alam na nila kung ano ang sex.

 
Medyo okay pa yung “Bulaklak” ng Hot Babes dahil kinanta yung song in a different way. Hindi malaswa. Parang laro lang. At syempre, girls singing about their OWN bulaklak isn’t so bad.
Pero yung singer ng kantang ‘to (”Nota” yata ang title), ang landi ng pagkakanta. Basta ang landi.
Napapa-sigh na lang ako tsaka “Tsk Tsk” sa jeep habang pinapakinggan ko e. Yung matandang lalake naman sa harap ko napapangiti pero yung babae sa gilid niya napapasimangot na lang.
Sobra na talaga…dapat sine-censor yan e.

Tsaka yung isa pang kanta na maganda na sana…sumablay lang sa chorus…ang drama na sana pero pagdating sa chorus…”Ang tanging ina mo!”….tsaka “Ang tanging ina nyo!”….

Haaaayy….hirap talaga na buhay….basta pumatok lang sa masa..okay na….

50 First Dates: 7/10 –Funny movie, nice adaptation of the short term memory loss syndrome of Dory from Finding Nemo. (With LOTR’s Sam…Sean Astin! and our very own, Rob Schneider)

Scary Movie 3: 6/10 — worth renting especially when you’ve already seen The Ring, 8 Mile, Signs, and The Others (but not worth buying)

Peter Pan: 7/10 –Nice production values, special effects and will take you to a whole new approach to this story.

Napanood ko na ang GARFIELD: THE MOVIE!

I love cats that’s why I didn’t hesitate to accept the offer of my sister to watch his favorite cat…Garfield! Libre naman e…why not? So we went to Festival last Saturday (Aug 7) and watched it. I know Garfiedl since Grade 3 (eto yung game na pinalalaro sa amin ng teacher namin sa Computer class…cut and paste the objects….) and I have watched it when it was at Channel 9 at 5PM (dati pa yun)….?

death anniversary of my beloved pet dog

Today marks the 6th death aniversary of my favorite pet, Mango. She died on the afternoon of August 4, 1998 due to an unknown disease. Earlier that morning, one of her?7 puppies? (Pringles) died of an accident. He was hit by a tricycle. Now, whenever I hear the words “August 4″, it makes me feel sad. That date stayed in my mind as one of the most memorable day of my life. Masyadong madrama di ba?
