THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE MOVIE REVIEW

I have seen few splatter films like Freddy vs Jason, Jeepers Creepers, Jason X, Friday the 13th Part 6 and all of them are quite the same in terms of horror, gore and suspense. The remake of the 1974 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn’t so different from the films I mentioned above. It’s 60% Jeepers Creepers and 40% Freddy vs. Jason. I haven’t seen the 1974 film so I can’t say that this remake is better or good enough but my brother rented the sequel to that 1974 film but I didn’t watch it because the VCD cover was awful and unattractive.

Anyway, the film is suspensful at times and also bloody but like I said, there’s no somthing new. It takes place on a single day just like Jeepers Creepers. What scares me about it is that it is based on a true story. I like the twist at the end and Jessica Biel was very good.(tama ba spelling?). Minsan kamukha niya si Camille Velasco. Dead Alive (Braindead) pa rin ang favorite ko of all splatter films.

RATING: 6/10
