NEW RETURN OF THE KING EXTENDED DVD PREVIEW!!!

Shet! Nabuhay na naman dugo ko after seeing the images from the upcoming Return of the KIng (ROTK) Extended DVD! I downloaded an 11MB, poor quality clip (videocam capture lang) from COMIC-CON festival (annual gathering of sci-fi and fantasy fans). And kahit poor quality lang, what’s important are the images that I have seen. It totally excite me!!


It’s 50 minutes longer than the 3hr 20min cut from the ROTK Theatrical edition and more than 20 hrs of special features! A total of four or five(?) DVDs! WOW!


Come December 1, 2004….you gave me the reason to start saving money para makabili na ako ng platinum edition ng tatlong movies na ‘to! Kahit wala pa kaming DVD player bibilin at bibilin ko ‘to! Hindi pwedeng hindi!

Bakit parang halos lahat ng ending ng mga trilogy ay nagsisimula sa “RE”?
“RE”TURN OF THE KING
“RE”TURN OF THE JEDI
“RE”VENGE OF THE SITH”
Buti na lang yung pangatlong Harry Potter hindi “Return to the Chamber of Secrets”

SPIDERMAN 2 MOVIE REVIEW

At last! After 10 days in theaters, nagkaron ako ng time para mapanood ko rin sa wakas ang Spiderman 2. Di ko ma-contact si Chris so sumama na lang sa akin yung dalawa kong kapatid at nilibre ko…..ng pamasahe….heheh.
The movie was awesome! It is the best comic book movie I’ve seen so far. Far better than the first. The movie has it all. Action, drama, romance and a little bit of comedy. The plot is interesting and the twist near the end of the movie makes me wanting for more. I’d like to say that this movie has a respectable cinematography. The images of Spiderman swinging from building to building is so breathtaking that it will stick to your mind forever. I just love the way the cars fly. It’s amazing. (Especially when Doc Ock has just come out from the hospital). Hindi lang siya basta car na lumipad basta it’s a different way na you wonder how they achieved that shot. These and many more images fascinated me. And this is just one of the reason why I love LOTR so much. The technical aspect of it, the cinematography etc. Okay, maybe hindi niyo na ma-gets mga pinagsasasabi ko. Alam niyo naman, ay may pagka-frustrated filmmaker ako. Anyway, this is a Spiderman review not LOTR….

THE CAT IN THE HAT MOVIE REVIEW

I felt exhausted watching this movie…although magaganda ang mga set, costume etc….masyado namang over….nakakadistract. There are so many things happening in just few minutes. The action never stops. The music keeps playing. There’s no dull moment in the movie and that’s why it is not as good as I expected. Mike Myers is just like Austin Powers with a little bit of The Grinch. I have never read the book of Dr. Seuss so I can’t comment whether it is a bad adaptation or not. The trailer attracted me but upon seeing the movie, I made a promise na hindi agad ako magpapa-attract sa mga trailers.

One good moment here is when they try to open a crate that was “made in the Philippines.” And Mike Myers said “But this is not Philippines!” It makes me feel proud. Bakit Philippines pa pinili? Is there something wrong about that?

JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 MOVIE REVIEW

The first one is better than this one. I can’t feel the horror here. Puro gulatan lang. Nag-improve ang special effects but the ‘creeper’ is over-exposed so I got used to it and I just see that monster as a make-up and costume na lang…hindi na nakakatakot. At as usual, there is an indication na magkaroon ng sequel. Lahat naman ng horror movies meron nyan e. Lagi na lang hindi namamatay an monster para kapag kumita ang movie, gawa uli ng sequel. As for this movie, sana hindi na sila gumawa ng pangatlo.

RATING: 5/10
Scale: Lord of the Rings —> 11/10
Jeepers Creepers 1 —> 6/10
